Guestbook

Share your favorite Stuckey’s memory! Our guestbook is your opportunity to share those experiences with others.

Just about everybody has a Stuckey‘s story, recalling a time when they took road trips in the family station wagon and found “highway happiness” at one of our stores.

We would love to hear your most fond memories from yesterday or today, and we know others would love to share in your experiences as well. Please take a moment or two and post your comments in our guestbook.

When I was younger we would take long road trips, mostly South, in and around the TN area. We often stopped at Stuckeys for the Pecan Logs and drinks. Great Memories.!!

How much do I love Stuckey’s! Every vacation and road trip my parents would stop just for me. I’d count the miles by the billboards. It was the highlight of my journey! My favorite is the Pecan Divinity Log. I would love to see the chain make a come back 🙏

I am so glad I received this!!! My Grandfather and my Grandmother worked for Stuckey’s for years in Statesboro, Georgia!!! My grandfather managed the store and my grandmother made pecan pies everyday and sealed them with that little heat sealer that looked like a iron and then walked across the road (which was the very busy 301 North back then) and she worked the concession part where they made all those delicious milk shakes and served all the good stuff!!! I just have So so many memories of Stuckey’s. As a teenager me and all my brothers and sisters worked... Read more

I can’t remember just how many years they worked there but it was a long time!! Their names were Robert and Annie Lee Smith. The actual store manager or owner back then was a Mr. Johnson. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️... Collapse

I’m 75 years on now but I’ve never forgotten those Stuckey stores we visited when I was a child. We had to stop at all of them on our road trips. I still remember how much I looked forward to those visits. Some of the best childhood memories! And today if I see a Stuckeys I have to make that stop. Thanks for some unforgettable times!

My father, Dr. T. C. (Buddy) Ross, was good friends with Mr. Bill Stuckey. When my father bought Minehan Pecan Shelling Plant in McRae, it was shelling exclusively for Stuckey's. He changed the name of the plant to Ross-Smith Pecan Shelling Plant. He continued to shell for Stuckey's but also branched out and sold to other customers. Many times he brought home Stuckey's products for us to enjoy. He also was the manager of the Stuckey's Carriage Inn on Jekyll Island. We loved spending time there!

Stuckey's is such a huge part of my childhood. My Granny and Grandaddy always took day trips to Georgia and Florida, which my brother and myself rode along most of the time. Granny ALWAYS had Grandaddy to stop at Stuckey's for a Pecan Log. Fast forward to May 2023 at Russel's Travel Center and Museum in New Mexico and we came across a Stuckey's section !! Yes, we left with Pecan Logs 😊 Thank you for keeping Stuckey's going.

I'm from Eastman, Ga, home of Stuckey's. We used to sale candy as a fund raiser for our high school band, The Marchin Cumbancheros. I loved the log rolls so much that I would never sell any but to myself. Along with all the other candy that we would sell, Stuckey's was always the best.

Back in the early 1970s, every summer, we would drive from Connecticut to Florida to visit my grandfather. Our road trips always included stops at Stuckey‘s to stretch our legs. It was the first time I ever tasted a pecan log….and I have been a fan ever since. Coming from the north, there was nothing like Stuckeys around us. It became one of the most exciting parts of our trip for me. It brings back such fond memories of a time when life was simple and happy.

My mom and dad used to talk about Stuckey's and how they loved stopping there when they took trips. I am so glad that it is finding momentum again. I can't wait to find one on my next trip.

Hi, I’m writing on here in memory of my grandfather and my mother. My grandfather was quite the horse trading character. For about a decade from the late 1960’s to mid 1970’s one of his gigs was as a wholesaler of Mexican Jumping Beans to Stuckey’s. My mom told me stories of her spending her summer vacations loading up the Cadillac Fleetwood and stopping at every Stuckey’s from Texas to Florida. In the early 1970’s he was on What’s My Line because of that. I have an old Stuckey’s license plate topper on my wall in memory of that little... Read more

I’m so happy, just bought two bags of Stuckey’ candy. I remember those wonderful summers when we lived in California in 1972-1975. My so and daughter would get so excited when they saw one of those yellow signs with big Red STUCKEY’S. We never passed one up on the way to Texas. The return trip back to California was always a STUCKEY’S stop.

I first went into a Stuckeys when I was 8 in 1972. We were on the road to Arkansas from California. I just remember seeing these road side teal roof buildings on interstate 40 along the way. We were kinda poor but dad would get us a pecan log roll to share. Good memories. I hope you bring back the stores/ restaurant.

We always went west! As a kid growing up in the early 70's I remember we always stopped at Stuckey's in Clovis on our way camping in New Mexico. Dad would gas up the car, my brother and I would look at all the cool toys and curios and mom would get a pecan log and divinity. I don't know how many coon skin caps and slingshots I had but they were all from Stuckey's! On the way back mom always got a bag of the pecan meal to make her Christmas Martha Washington candles.
