Guestbook

Share your favorite Stuckey’s memory! Our guestbook is your opportunity to share those experiences with others.

Just about everybody has a Stuckey‘s story, recalling a time when they took road trips in the family station wagon and found “highway happiness” at one of our stores.

We would love to hear your most fond memories from yesterday or today, and we know others would love to share in your experiences as well. Please take a moment or two and post your comments in our guestbook.

My mom and dad used to talk about Stuckey's and how they loved stopping there when they took trips. I am so glad that it is finding momentum again. I can't wait to find one on my next trip.

Hi, I’m writing on here in memory of my grandfather and my mother. My grandfather was quite the horse trading character. For about a decade from the late 1960’s to mid 1970’s one of his gigs was as a wholesaler of Mexican Jumping Beans to Stuckey’s. My mom told me stories of her spending her summer vacations loading up the Cadillac Fleetwood and stopping at every Stuckey’s from Texas to Florida. In the early 1970’s he was on What’s My Line because of that. I have an old Stuckey’s license plate topper on my wall in memory of that little... Read more

I’m so happy, just bought two bags of Stuckey’ candy. I remember those wonderful summers when we lived in California in 1972-1975. My so and daughter would get so excited when they saw one of those yellow signs with big Red STUCKEY’S. We never passed one up on the way to Texas. The return trip back to California was always a STUCKEY’S stop.

I first went into a Stuckeys when I was 8 in 1972. We were on the road to Arkansas from California. I just remember seeing these road side teal roof buildings on interstate 40 along the way. We were kinda poor but dad would get us a pecan log roll to share. Good memories. I hope you bring back the stores/ restaurant.

We always went west! As a kid growing up in the early 70's I remember we always stopped at Stuckey's in Clovis on our way camping in New Mexico. Dad would gas up the car, my brother and I would look at all the cool toys and curios and mom would get a pecan log and divinity. I don't know how many coon skin caps and slingshots I had but they were all from Stuckey's! On the way back mom always got a bag of the pecan meal to make her Christmas Martha Washington candles. My family would always do a road trip to Florida from Illinois when we were young. I love seeing the “See Ruby Falls” billboards, and Rock City barns the closer we got to our destination. And then we would see a Stuckey‘s billboard and yell “Stuckey’s!” at the top of our lungs. So now I have my husband doing it with me when we are on road trips. And of course, loading up on pecan log rolls!

I remember when we would go on vacation as a kid whenever we was a Stuckeys, Dad would pull over and we all got a treat. There were 8 of us in one car, before seat belts, lol , so we had to share. Today I stop at the Stuckeys in Denton on my way to visit a friend that is bedridden and take her a treat. I also take my Grandaughter and her friends to the one near Mckinney for a treat. Stopped in a gas station in somewhere GA and noticed the Stuckey’s display the front. My parents can remember Stuckey’s being the big hit of a road trip and the pecan logs being so good. Picked up a gopher and a log! Breakfast of Champions haha. Would love to see more displays in stations!

I remember traveling the US with my mom, her BF and my sister. This was in the 80's and we would stop at every Stucky's and my mom would get a little spoon with the state name and shape on the handle. She had all the states and I loved looking at them.

I am 65 years old. Stuckey was my first job at 15 until I graduated high school. So many wonderful fun memories. I loved there pecan rolls and all the unusual gifts they had. We had a dogs restroom that had a old tree for the country dogs. For the city dogs there was a fire hydrant. Travelers would take all kinds of pictures of them. They thought it was so funny. Awww memories.

Back in 1969 my mother, sister and I went from Bremen Georgia to Los Angeles California to visit family. We stopped at a Stuckys in Louisiana for gas and a break. After that we stopped at every Stuckys we saw on the way to California, it got to be fun looking for the store's. We did the same comming home. Those were some fun days and great memories.

When we would travel as a family throughout childhood, every southern trip we would stop at Stuckey’s. My Dad loved the pecan logs! After all these years and to still have Stuckeys is wonderful! As a surprise to my parents I ordered several products for Christmas! They were so excited and have been savoring every bite!

One summer we took a road trip from our S.W. Washington (state) home to California. My cousin Bob who was a college student in Oregon came along as our designated driver due to the fact that he wanted to visit a college flame who lived in CA. He and our family of six piled into our Vista Cruiser station wagon and took off. Along the way through Oregon and Northern California we would stop at just about every Stuckey’s we’d see. He and our family of six piled into our Vista Cruiser station wagon and took off. Along the way through Oregon and Northern California we would stop at just about every Stuckey’s we’d see. Our mom loved the pecan rolls and divinity. Cousin Bob was getting annoyed with all the stops because it delayed him getting to his girl. To this day my siblings and I laugh about us yelling “STUCKEYS!!!” every time we saw their sign in the distance. Our frustrated cousin finally yelled, “NO MORE STUCKEYS!!!” and hit the gas and we drove on by very disappointed. But he wasn’t with us on the drive home so we were once again in Stuckey’s heaven.... I still have my Stuckey's game from the 70's. We use to go on the big 2 week vacation across the country hitting as many states as possible on the way. I would get a charm from every state or a spoon. We would stop at least one in every state
