Guestbook

Share your favorite Stuckey’s memory! Our guestbook is your opportunity to share those experiences with others.

Just about everybody has a Stuckey‘s story, recalling a time when they took road trips in the family station wagon and found “highway happiness” at one of our stores.

We would love to hear your most fond memories from yesterday or today, and we know others would love to share in your experiences as well. Please take a moment or two and post your comments in our guestbook.

In the 80s my grandpa and I would drive from Los Angeles CA to Fort Worth Texas. We did this almost every summer. Off the 10 freeway the first thing you see is the sign for Stuckeys. Big, yellow and red sign. With a picture of some perfectly cooked eggs and bacon. "5 more miles to Stuckeys". There were many Stuckeys back then along that fwy. I became a bit obsessed and asked my grandpa to stop at almost every one we came across during those 3 day trips. We both would yell "Stuckeys!", stop and eat. Your French toast... Read more

Your French toast back then was SO good. It was my go to meal for every meal. After eating we would brouse the gift shop and grandpa always made sure I left with something. Usually a small piece of candy or a snack for the road. He knew how much I liked Stuckeys and stopped whenever I asked. These are some of the best memories I have of my grandpa, whom I still miss dearly. Thank you for the memories Stuckeys. I hope to have your French Toast again someday.... Collapse

I love watching Stephanie’s posts as she travels around gathering up history of Stuckey’s and getting products back in the stores. I had all but forgotten that pecan roll that was a must have by my Mom as we traveled every summer. She loved them so much she convinced my Dad to buy boxes of them to take back home (to Southern Indiana) to tie them over and satisfy their sweet tooth until their next trip. I remember the stores and always finding something I had to have, but those pecan rolls were a must have for my parents. I’m... Read more

My Mom has been gone almost 20 years, but I guarantee if she were here she’d be having me order her a few boxes online! Great Job Stephanie.... Collapse

Farm kid and a huge family. Dad would take us on a road trip to visit the Grand folks. New Mexico to AZ. Long hot and bored in the family Chevrolet. We would stop at Every Stuckey‘s to get Candy, Pecan logs and cute Gifts. The highlight of our trip. Big bags of powered fruit punch for later. I miss Stuckey’s and when I see that shape of that building, even now it feels me with happy nostalgia. Sure wish they were back in our State! Kids just don’t have the same vacation that we did back then!

Growing up in Virginia every summer we drove to 18 hour drive to Mississippi to see extended family. The highlight of the adventure was stopping at Stuckey’s. I new where all of them were on our journey. I would ask my father how much further to the next Stuckey’s his reply was usually “4 Lassie Shows” that was the way I measured time- 😀. So many great memories stopping at many of the Stuckey’s in the Deep South with my parents and younger brother. Thank you Stephanie Stuckey for saving the family business. Such a fun story to follow. How much do I love Stuckey’s! Every vacation and road trip my parents would stop just for me. I’d count the miles by the billboards. It was the highlight of my journey! My favorite is the Pecan Divinity Log. I would love to see the chain make a come back 🙏

I am so glad I received this!!! My Grandfather and my Grandmother worked for Stuckey’s for years in Statesboro, Georgia!!! My grandfather managed the store and my grandmother made pecan pies everyday and sealed them with that little heat sealer that looked like a iron and then walked across the road (which was the very busy 301 North back then) and she worked the concession part where they made all those delicious milk shakes and served all the good stuff!!! I’m 75 years on now but I’ve never forgotten those Stuckey stores we visited when I was a child. We had to stop at all of them on our road trips. I still remember how much I looked forward to those visits. Some of the best childhood memories! And today if I see a Stuckeys I have to make that stop. Thanks for some unforgettable times!

My father, Dr. T. C. (Buddy) Ross, was good friends with Mr. Bill Stuckey. When my father bought Minehan Pecan Shelling Plant in McRae, it was shelling exclusively for Stuckey's. He changed the name of the plant to Ross-Smith Pecan Shelling Plant. He continued to shell for Stuckey's but also branched out and sold to other customers. Many times he brought home Stuckey's products for us to enjoy. He also was the manager of the Stuckey's Carriage Inn on Jekyll Island. We loved spending time there!

Stuckey's is such a huge part of my childhood. My Granny and Grandaddy always took day trips to Georgia and Florida, which my brother and myself rode along most of the time. Granny ALWAYS had Grandaddy to stop at Stuckey's for a Pecan Log. Fast forward to May 2023 at Russel's Travel Center and Museum in New Mexico and we came across a Stuckey's section !! Yes, we left with Pecan Logs 😊 Thank you for keeping Stuckey's going.

I'm from Eastman, Ga, home of Stuckey's. We used to sale candy as a fund raiser for our high school band, The Marchin Cumbancheros. I loved the log rolls so much that I would never sell any but to myself. Along with all the other candy that we would sell, Stuckey's was always the best.

Back in the early 1970s, every summer, we would drive from Connecticut to Florida to visit my grandfather. Our road trips always included stops at Stuckey‘s to stretch our legs. It was the first time I ever tasted a pecan log….and I have been a fan ever since. Coming from the north, there was nothing like Stuckeys around us. It became one of the most exciting parts of our trip for me. It brings back such fond memories of a time when life was simple and happy.
