Guestbook

Share your favorite Stuckey’s memory! Our guestbook is your opportunity to share those experiences with others.

Just about everybody has a Stuckey‘s story, recalling a time when they took road trips in the family station wagon and found “highway happiness” at one of our stores.

We would love to hear your most fond memories from yesterday or today, and we know others would love to share in your experiences as well. Please take a moment or two and post your comments in our guestbook.

Just saw on Linked in that the Stuckey brand is being revived. Very cool. Grew up outside Detroit and going up north as a kid stopping at Stuckeys was the treat of treats! Also, going to Port Huron there was one at the Wadhams Road exit. Fast forward 30 yrs later and in 2002 I built a Mobil Truck Stop at that same exit. Loves just opened last year on the other side of the express way. As of last year at least (2019) I think the old Stuckeys building is still hiding in the weeds. What memories!

We traveled to my grandmother's all the time and always stopped at Stuckeys. My brother and I always had to buy some candy. We drove from Louisville, KY to Springfield TN which was quite a drive on two lane roads back then. Very fond memories of a great store.

Our family traveled around the country a lot in the 70s on camping adventures. I remember making sure my sisters and I let dad know how far Stuckey's was when we saw a billboard. Dad loved the peanut brittle we were doing it for him.

I really miss the chocolate candy sold in your stores back in the 60's and 70's. It was so much better than that pre-packaged stuff everyone sells today. I have diabetes and the local Stuckey's stores were the only place I could find any artificially sweetened candy that was actually good.

Waters, MI Location. We used to walk through the Woods from Heart Lake (between Big Bradford & Otsego Lake), as 8, 9 & 10 year olds to make our way out to busy I-75, to the Stickey’s for candy. We loved the Taffy. We would come in from beside the store to avoid the cars. Crazy our Parents just said be careful. Then walk back to the dock on crystal clear Heart Lake, sit down and catch a sunset with our trasured candy. Simple life.

I ordered some of all the oldies we ate as children so I could share with my Grandchildren. It was fun and they loved it. Thanks for the opportunity to share old memories.

I lived across the road from the candy plant where my daddy worked when I was little. I grew up eating Stuckey candy and pulled my teeth on the caramel kind. Just visited Eastman last weekend and took pictures of the old plant and offices. It is so sad to visit and see what a negative impact the company's leaving had on this community.

Traveled many times from Pennsylvania to Florida and back with my family on vacations from the early 60s to mid 70s. Many times stopping at a Stuckey's for a restroom break, gas and of course purchases of pecan log rolls. Just this last December while moving my daughter back home from Florida to Pennsylvania, I asked her if she had seen any Stuckey's in her travels in the south by car since I had long forgone car travel in favor of traveling by plane. Stopping and getting a pecan log roll and biting in to that delicious confection instantly transported me back to my youth. Thank you Stuckey's for still being there.... Collapse

I was born in 1965 and our family has driven across the USA more than a few times - with many trips in the so-called Mid Atlantic states. Stuckey's was often a nice place to stop for fuel, a potty break and a chance to get some snacks. Times are different nowadays, but we still have those great memories!

Hello, I feel so blessed to have discovered the authenticity on Stuckey's Shops. Eventhough, the firm experienced acquirement before I was born it propelled an eager jolt-- with both growth and salesmanship in Eudora Arkansas for long lengthed juicy pecans. Thus I was born in New York City, but moved to Eudora and resided with my grandparents. I reflect back on the numerous times which my cousins would climb up on the Pecan trees to shake the limbs, so that the pecans could fall onto the ground. Oh how this makes me smile. Having been born in 1954....I have so many memories of every summer, traveling from west Texas to far northeast Texas (Odessa to Clarksville) about 500miles....all yr my brother & I saved money, collected cents off coupons and sold them to a local store called Cabels and got face value for them. And most of it was to buy stuff at several Stuckeys stores along the way.....I always bought those colorful coconut bonbons. I so wish Stuckeys would come back to this great state. We have lots of Buc-ees stores, though none near west Texas.... Read more
